Questions

What should I write in ‘about me’ in a marriage biodata?

Three or four short lines: who you are, what you do, what matters to you (family, values), and what you enjoy. Keep it warm and specific; avoid long lists of adjectives.

How long should the about me section be?

Aim for 40 to 80 words — three or four lines on the page. Anything longer pushes the family details onto a second page.

Can parents write the about me for their son or daughter?

Yes, and it is common. Write it in the third person (‘Priya is…’) so it reads naturally when the other family reads it.

Should I write about me in Hindi or English?

In the language the rest of the biodata is in. The form lets you make the whole biodata in Hindi, Marathi or nine other languages; the lines below come in English and Hindi.
